"Most clients
prefer to anticipate and avoid problems instead of spending
time and
money to fix them. I take a practical approach, relying on a
client's active
participation, and tailor my advice to each client's particular
situation
instead of using a one-size-fits-all method." Rebecca
J. Patten was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, and is an
active member of the community, from coaching T-ball to organizing
the classic readers club at her children's school. In the past,
she has served on the board of directors of Planned Parenthood
of Central Oklahoma, on the board of trustees of the First
Presbyterian Church of Norman and as Ways and Means Committee Chair for the Norman High Band Association. She currently serves on the
board of directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and on the University of Oklahoma Women's and Gender Studies program board of advisors. Becky earned an undergraduate
degree with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma
in 1974 and graduated
from the University
of Chicago Law School in 1977. She has
practiced law in a small firm setting over 35 years,
and enjoys the opportunity
it presents to provide high quality legal services and personally
serve her clients' needs. Her bar association memberships include:
The American Bar Association: Real Property, Probate and Trust
Section; The Oklahoma Bar Association: Estate Planning and
Probate Law, Government and Administrative
Law
Practice
and Taxation Law. Becky focuses her practice on trust and estate
services for individuals and representation of public boards
and organizations.
